2019 OECD Ministerial Council Meeting discussed opportunities and challenges of the digitalisation, 22-23 May 2019
2019 Ministerial Council Meeting, chaired by the Slovak Republic, gathered Leaders and Ministers, who discussed domestic and international public policies that can fully harness the great potential of digitalisation and address its disruptive effects, in areas such as competition, taxation, data governance, skills, inclusive growth, environment and trade. They have also addressedthe role that the OECD can play in supporting member and partner countries as they navigate the digital transition for the benefit of all citizens.
Slovenia was represented by four ministers, DeputyPrime Minister and Minister of Education Jernej Pikalo, Minister of Labour, Family and Social AffairsKsenija Klampfer, Minister of Public Administration Rudi Medved and Minister of Economy Zdravko Počivalšek. They acknowledged the substantial contribution of the OECD to the multilateral system. They particularly welcomed the ongoing OECD work regarding the digitalisation.
